As a junior in high school, I started full-time Clark College coursework focused on earning my Associate’s Degree in Business and was successful. I graduated simultaneously with honors from Columbia River High School and Clark College, I culminated my formal training and education by graduating Summa Cum Laude from Gonzaga University in Spokane, WA, earning my Bachelor’s of Business Administration, concentrated in Marketing in two years. Personal Passions

Female Student Pilot, Breaking Barriers in the Sky

Becoming a pilot has been a lifelong dream. Both of my parent’s hold Private Pilot licenses and other various ratings and certifications. What truly sparked my passion was working with my dad to create a simulation cockpit for a STEM fair in elementary school. We used a plotter and printed out a big-as-life image of a single engine cockpit, pasted on a large plywood piece. Together we whittled together two moveable yokes and usable rudder pedals, and put together the ultimate home-made simulator. It was a hit amongst my peers and inspired me to begin my flying journey.

I started as a student pilot at KVUO: Pearson Field the summer prior to starting my career as a Gonzaga University student. Currently I am at the tail end of my student pilot studies at K1W1: Grove Field, focusing on studying for my VFR licensing. My flight instructor, Jiah, is an amazing instructor and a wonderful mentor as a woman in aviation. It’s inspiring to see the amazing women at my flight school come together and the camaraderie we share. We have even formed a study group that supports all women in their aviation endeavors, from student to testing to becoming a CFI(flight instructor).

Diving the Depths, Exploring Beyond Land

I have been a swimmer since I was 2 weeks old bobbing around the pool with my grandfather. Always willing to jump in at any time to go swimming. Growing up and learning more about various aquatic life, I was provided the opportunity to SNUBA (a combination of SCUBA and snorkeling) within the Caribbean, US Virgin Islands, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, and British Virgin Islands and explore the depths even though I was too young to be a certified SCUBA diver. After being able to explore numerous countries snorkeling and SNUBA-ing, I earned my Open Water Diver certification from NAUI in 2021. Being able to witness the other two-thirds of our Earth and see a whole new world underwater is fascinating. I am also an avid paddleboarder with an iSUP and kayaker, truly any way you can be a part of water I enjoy.
